(bzz)z is the humming that awakens me at midnight and I can’t get rid off. It’s a determined space, inhabited and sensitive of infinitude. A stave under the bed sheets. The relationship between the part agreed upon as imaginary and the part imagined as real.
This graphic project -captured as a muted novel and still in process- it develops through the night at only one space, with a couple as protagonist. From dusk till dawn, two people interact and dwell a bedroom: affects, sex, questions, remembrances and fears are intertwined. Dream, wakefulness and hypnagogic hallucinations alternate. Realities are superimposed.
Motivation for developing this artwork rises from an interest on the limitation of graphic resources, as well as from the vital need of pouring out and gather personal experiences at some sort of identitary project. I felt the impulse to analyze the affective relationships and the convenience of dreams and reality. And I felt the urge of using common symbols and a series of social accepted codes for sharing these reflections.
